AI and cybersecurity leaders join as DAXA scales its data control layer for agentic and sovereign AI
PALO ALTO, CA, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — DAXA, the data control layer for agentic AI, today announced the appointment of Claudionor Coelho Jr., former Chief AI Officer at Zscaler and Head of AI Labs at Palo Alto Networks, and Axelle Girardot, an enterprise strategy executive currently at F5, to its Advisory Board.
As enterprises move AI agents from pilots into production, agents are increasingly reasoning over sensitive data, invoking tools and APIs, and taking autonomous actions. Access alone no longer defines the risk. What matters is what an agent intends to do with the data and whether that action should be allowed.
“Security has to evolve from controlling access to reasoning over access and action,” said Huseni Saboowala, co-founder and CEO of DAXA. “Claudionor has led AI at the largest cybersecurity companies and shares our conviction that reasoning over data is the real challenge. Axelle has scaled category-defining security businesses through exactly the shift we’re driving now. They make us sharper as we build the data control layer for enterprise and sovereign AI.”
DAXA closes this gap with runtime controls that reason over an agent’s access and actions on enterprise data. By observing agents across both the network and endpoint, DAXA governs what an agent can access and what it can ultimately do.
Claudionor Coelho Jr. brings decades of experience building AI at scale. In his security leadership roles, he created one of the world’s first neuro-symbolic AI products and earlier built machine learning systems at Google. He holds a Ph.D. in EECS from Stanford.
“Zero Trust and AI Firewalls can’t protect enterprise AI without reasoning over data. True Zero Trust has always been about data, and reasoning over that data is the hard part. DAXA saw that very early and is tackling the challenge head-on,” said Claudionor Coelho Jr.
Axelle Girardot brings more than 25 years of experience in strategy, product, and operations leadership across F5, Palo Alto Networks, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel, and McAfee, with deep experience scaling technology businesses through major market transitions.
“We are watching AI move from applications to infrastructure, and that creates a new layer that has to be governed. DAXA’s ability to see agents at both layers, where they connect and where they run, and govern how they access and act on data, is a differentiated architectural position. It becomes particularly powerful as private and sovereign AI moves from strategy to large-scale deployment,” said Axelle Girardot.
