Christenson Transportation announces President & CEO Don Christenson and VP RayVaun Christenson Attend TCA’s “Call on Washington”
STRAFFORD, MO, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Christenson Transportation is proud to announce that President & CEO Don Christenson and Vice President RayVaun Christenson traveled to the nation’s capital on September 2, 2026, to represent the company at the Truckload Carriers Association’s (TCA) Annual “Call on Washington.” The father-and-son duo joined fellow TCA members on Capitol Hill for a day of direct advocacy on behalf of the truckload industry.
TCA’s Call on Washington allows industry leaders to meet face-to-face with members of Congress, key congressional staff, and federal regulators to discuss legislation and regulations that affect trucking. This year’s discussions centered on issues including infrastructure funding, opposition to increases in federal truck size and weight limits, and drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Don and RayVaun Christenson met with several members of Missouri’s congressional delegation and their staff, including Representative Sam Graves, Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and Representative Eric Burlison, to advocate for policies that support safe and efficient freight transportation.
“Getting in front of the people who write the laws that shape our industry is one of the most important things we can do for our drivers, our customers, and our company,” said Don Christenson. “It meant a great deal to make this trip alongside RayVaun and to carry the voice of Christenson Transportation, and the truckload industry as a whole, to Capitol Hill.”
“Advocacy is something I’ve been proud to take part in for several years now and doing it side by side with my dad this time made it even more meaningful,” said RayVaun Christenson. “Whether it’s the FMCSA Modernization, truck weight, Delila’s Law, and Chameleon carriers, these are the issues our drivers and our business live with every day. It’s on us to make sure our legislators hear directly from the people doing the work.”
Christenson Transportation has a long history of engagement with TCA’s advocacy efforts, and this year’s trip continues that tradition into a second generation of company leadership.
