NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ENFRA, a national leader in energy infrastructure and Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS), today announced the appointment of Robert Palter as Chair of its Board of Directors.
Palter was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company and served on the firm’s Global Board of Directors. With more than three decades of experience advising leading organizations across infrastructure, real estate, energy, and institutional investing, Palter brings a uniquely global perspective and a proven track record of driving strategy, operational excellence, and large-scale transformation.

Palter has held numerous leadership roles at McKinsey, including Managing Partner of McKinsey Canada, where he oversaw strategy, operations, and performance across offices nationwide. He is the founder and former global head of McKinsey’s Infrastructure and Capital Projects Practice and the Institutional Investing Practice and co-founded the firm’s Real Estate Practice. In these roles, he has worked with investors, developers, governments, and energy infrastructure organizations on complex challenges spanning strategy, capital deployment, cost optimization, and digital transformation. In addition to his client leadership, Palter served as Chair of McKinsey’s Global Compensation Committee, where he oversaw compensation strategy for more than 40,000 employees across 69 countries. Earlier in his career, he was named one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” by The Globe and Mail, recognizing his leadership and impact.
His client work included helping major real estate and infrastructure organizations navigate shifting market dynamics, improving cost and schedule performance on multi-billion-dollar capital projects, and advising global institutional investors on new market-entry strategies, including emerging sectors such as data centers.
“ENFRA is uniquely positioned at the intersection of energy, infrastructure, and long-term capital,” said Palter. “I’m excited to work with the board and leadership team to support the company’s continued growth and help advance its mission of delivering innovative, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure solutions.”
