LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Latroit House Ensemble release “Pearls (feat. Soweto Gospel Choir and Nomvula),” the latest from the upcoming full-length LP Classics, Vol. 1, due August 25th via House of Latroit / Symphonic. The track is a reimagining of the timeless Sade song, reborn through collaboration with Soweto Gospel Choir and South African vocalist Nomvula (pron. nome-voo-lah), a human rights advocate and former president of the Trade Union for Musicians of South Africa.

The track is a gospel-rooted, Amapiano-driven reimagining of the classic, sung in siXhosa / Zulu, transforming the song’s emotional message into a communal offering. “Pearls” has received early support from influential Los Angeles tastemaker radio station KCRW, continuing the station’s longstanding support of Latroit and his work.
Latroit first discovered Nomvula through Orna Create, a cultural exchange program he co-founded with leadership from the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce Youth Commission. The program was created to connect South African artists and producers with international opportunities, and led to Latroit and Nomvula beginning a creative collaboration that continues with “Pearls.”
Classics Vol. 1 stands out as the thematic successor to History of House, the acclaimed Soweto Gospel Choir LP produced by Latroit. This new album features Ron Carter, Nick Clow, Soweto Gospel Choir, and Nomvula Munnie. GRAMMY Award-winning producer, songwriter, DJ, and composer Dennis White, known professionally as Latroit, has spent more than three decades helping shape modern dance music. Beginning his career as Music Director for Kevin Saunderson’s legendary group Inner City, his production and remix credits include Depeche Mode, Madonna, deadmau5, Elvis Presley, Hans Zimmer, Nile Rodgers, Idris Elba, and Swedish House Mafia. In 2018, he received the GRAMMY Award for Best Remixed Recording for Depeche Mode’s “You Move.” Through the Latroit House Ensemble, White continues to celebrate the cultural legacy of house music through contemporary recordings and live performance.
