Rellevate, CRS, and Caritas de Venezuela provide flexible financial aid to help earthquake-affected families buy essential goods.
STAMFORD, CT, UNITED STATES, August 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — STAMFORD, CT, August 10, 2025 — Rellevate, Inc., a leading fintech company leveraging advanced technology to deliver innovative digital banking services, including streamlined disbursements, secure payment platforms, and comprehensive employer services, has partnered with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Caritas de Venezuela to support humanitarian relief efforts for victims of the devastating earthquakes that struck northern Venezuela on June 24, 2026.
On June 24, two powerful earthquakes—a magnitude 7.2 foreshock followed 39 seconds later by a magnitude 7.5 mainshock—struck near the coast west of Caracas, causing widespread destruction across the capital, La Guaira, and surrounding states. The disaster has claimed thousands of lives, left many more injured, and displaced countless families across the region.
CRS, the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States, has deployed an emergency response team working alongside its longstanding in-country partner, Caritas de Venezuela.
To help extend the reach and flexibility of this relief effort, Rellevate has issued a Prepaid Award Mastercard for both online and in-person point-of-sale transactions, enabling recipients to purchase the specific goods and services their families need most—whether that’s food, medical supplies, or household essentials—directly from local merchants.
“Financial inclusion means more than everyday banking—it means being there when people need access to funds most urgently,” said Stewart A. Stockdale, Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Rellevate. “By providing a flexible, easy-to-use card solution, we’re helping ensure that aid reaches families quickly and that they can make the choices that are right for their recovery.”
“Accompanying people with dignity is at the heart of how CRS and Caritas de Venezuela work,” said Jennifer Poidatz, vice president for humanitarian response at CRS. “This technology helps us place resources directly into the hands of families, enabling them to buy the food, medicine, and other essentials they need during this very difficult time while supporting local markets and communities.”
CRS and Caritas de Venezuela continue to prioritize the most vulnerable populations, including children, older adults, pregnant and nursing women, and people with disabilities, as the response transitions from emergency relief toward early recovery.
