Marking a historic milestone for the regional business ecosystem, the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce officially cut the ribbon on Friday, August 14, 2026, celebrating the launch of an organized, dynamic platform dedicated to strengthening ties between Brazilian entrepreneurs, local industries, and international commerce across North Central Florida.

The inaugural event gathered prominent civic, regional, and diplomatic leaders, underscoring the growing economic influence and cohesion of the Brazilian community throughout the region. Distinguished guests in attendance included Ambassador João Lucas Quental, serving as Honorary President of the Chamber; Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward; and former Gainesville Mayor Lauren Poe, currently CEO of the Greater Gainesville International Center.

Led by Rodrigo Martinson (President) and Wanderlei Guimarães (Vice President), the Chamber’s executive leadership emphasized that the Brazilian business community across North Central Florida is organized, robust, and positioned to drive tangible positive impact through high-value business intelligence, practical workshops, and cross-sector networking.

The organization’s mission is anchored by three strategic pillars:

  • Creation: Catalyzing regional growth and entrepreneurship by creating sustainable jobs, new market opportunities, and innovative business solutions.

  • Connection: Building bridges between enterprises, professionals, and consumers across North Central Florida and Brazil through quality commerce, services, and strategic partnerships.

  • Contribution: Championing reciprocal community investment by dedicating resources to the ongoing mentorship, professional development, and collective empowerment of its members.

“Our Brazilian business community across North Central Florida has reached a pivotal moment of unity, readiness, and collective strength,” said Rodrigo Martinson, President of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. “Through Creation, Connection, and above all, Contribution, our focus is on delivering real value to our members while actively driving economic vitality throughout the entire region.”
